I want to improve my blog make it more relevant to your needs and interests on personal finances.
To do that, I need to know more about YOU. For that purpose, I have created my 2014 Reader Survey.
Would you please take a few minutes to fill out the survey? By doing so, you will be helping me and will ultimately be helping yourself.
How is that? Because you will be helping me make my content on personal finance even more interesting and relevant to you.
My goal is to bring help and hope to your financial situation and I want to make sure this is what I am doing with my blog.
I would love to hear from you. Your opinion is very important to me and I also know your time is very valuable. The survey is very easy to fill out and the results are completely anonymous.
I won’t be able to tell who said what. And it will only take five minutes of your time. Thank you so much for your time.
Back in 2005, I was facing serious financial challenges. I had been married to a wonderful woman for almost 18 months, had a great job but found myself struggling to manage our finances and we were living paycheck to paycheck. We did not have a plan for our future. The worse of it was that I was not communicating with my wife and we were not honoring the Lord with our finances. I became convicted that I needed some help.
God heard my call for help and He directed me to attend Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) at our church. I became a firm believer in the principles taught by Dave Ramsey for managing finances. These are in reality God’s principles for managing everything He has entrusted to us.
After going through FPU in 2005, my wife Stacey and I have been living out those principles for managing our finances in a way that honors God since then. In doing this, we have seen God bless our marriage by helping us to work together and draw closer together in the process. These principles completely changed our perspective on money and finances. We have been able to completely pay down our consumer debt, save for emergencies and large purchases, give, pay for college for our son, and have a plan for our future.
After leading 5 FPU classes at our church I felt led to increase my training in this area of financial counseling. In April of 2010, I attended Dave Ramsey’s Counselor Training and I am now offering my services as a financial counselor.
There IS a way to win with your finances: God’s way. These are time-tested principles that when applied lead to peace. If you are scared and have lost hope in this area, I can help you. If you are doing good but you know you could do better, I can help you. If you are doing well, I can help you to do great.
Contact me and let me walk with you to bring help and hope for your finances.
